December Update: Production wind down.

Happy Upcoming New Year everyone! Here's what's new for us...
Production Status
Production is nearing completion. Our manufacturer has sent a copy from the line and it was perfect. It's awesome to have copy #1 in hand and the rest are being packaged and prepared for freight. Our manufacturer and freight partners are in contact and we're still expecting a mid-January departure. As stated before, it should take another two months from that point to arrive at our fulfillment hubs.
Shipping Costs
We've received final estimates from both fulfillment hubs for all customers except Canada. The exciting news from my end is that the shipping costs for the game + expansion are very close to the estimates provided in the campaign. We expect to receive the Canadian estimates very soon, after which we should be able to lock orders and charge shipping. Expect this in early January.
Crochet bunnies are complete. You really liked Violet!
That's it for now, short and sweet this month. Next update should have games on the water!
See you in 2026! ~The Amoebunnies Team
November Update: In Production!
– Fri, Nov 28, 2025 at 10:04:40 AM
If you missed the announcement on our Discord server, I'm pleased to let you know we entered production early this month! The timeline at this point is two months for manufacturing followed by two months for freight. Then it should be a couple weeks for our fulfillment partners to begin shipping out games. This puts us at approximately late March for the first deliveries. Please do note that this is tentative and assumes we complete production prior to the Chinese New Year holiday which would cause a delay. It also presumes no surprise delays at sea.
Shipping Update:
As we approach fulfillment, our partners are getting ready to receive shipment. Our US partner has provided a shipping estimate. Our UK partner is still in the process of doing so. Once these numbers come in, we'll be able to apply shipping to everyone's orders and begin the locking process. No rewards can be released until your shipping is paid, so please be on the lookout for a notification that the lock is coming. You will still be able to modify your order up to that point. And as such...
Check Your Order!
If you have moved since you answered the survey, make sure you update your address. Also, please check that your order contains what you expect it to. If you participated in the reservation prior to Kickstarter, you should have the foil cards added to your order along with a $1 credit. We have very few foil cards remaining and will not reprint them.
All-In Orders:
We decided to pack up the amigurumis that were ordered into little boxes. Instead of shipping them ourselves, we're going to send the lot to our US fulfillment center so that you'll get your full order at the same time, and it'll save a lot on shipping.
That's it for now. We hope you have a happy holiday season!

October Update: Good News and Bad News.

Before you worry, the bad news isn't too bad.
Good News:
We received the physical proof at the beginning of the month and it is amazing. All of the components look and feel great. The tuckboxes make getting the pieces for your character so easy and keeps the box looking clean when you put it away. Our manufacturer did a fantastic job designing and executing on the vision here.
Bad News:
Unfortunately, the proof did have several errors. There were multiple components missing, colors that were wrong, and one rather significant printing error. After thorough investigation, all errors were verified to be on the manufacturing side. Their claim was that it was due to being in a rush to get it out to us prior to their holiday. They have a copy in their factory without the errors made at the same time. They have also assured us that the production process will prevent these errors and we will have the ability to verify the final product prior to shipment to avoid the problems making it to you. The biggest impact of this problem is that this month was largely consumed handling this issue. We are still waiting for corrected versions of the proof components to be sent to us, which was delayed by Essen Spiel.
Rapid Fire Good News:
Now that we have the (almost) final product, we were able to send measurements to our fulfillment centers which are now working on producing the final shipping numbers.
The Tabletop Simulator version is complete. We've added a few bells and whistles that should help it stand out as a mod. We are still playing on Wednesdays if you'd like a sneak peek, and we're also looking into the possibility of joining a Twitch streamer to show off the features of the game and mod. Stay tuned to our socials for details.
Speaking of our socials, now that we've finished providing artwork to production, our creative attention is turning back to content for Instagram and other platforms. We've posted this setup video for Roy. Let us know what you think and what else you'd like to see.
Foil vs Standard Character Card
Mini Bad News:
Tariffs in the US are still a thing. This month an announcement of an additional 100% on Chinese goods was made and retracted. We're going to navigate this as best we can.
The digital goods (Tabletop version / Crochet patterns) cannot be sent until an order is locked and paid for. We do want to get these out to backers early, but we will need to have the final shipping number in place first. When it's time, we'll offer early locking for those who want to get their digital items.
Which leads to..
Final Good News:
This gives us the opportunity to redo some of the photographs for the crochet patterns. I know some of you are eager to make your own bunnies; we want to make the instructions as good as we can.
I know that was a lot, thanks for your continued support. Opening that final version was an emotional experience that wouldn't have been possible without you. We hope you'll be able to share it with us soon.

September Update: Production progress

Physical proof on its way!
We got news last week that our manufacturer has completed the physical proof! They shipped it out yesterday (Sunday, the 28th). It should be arriving later this week for our approval. We're super excited to get our hands on the final version of our game. Since we live in different cities, one of us is going to get it for review then ship it to the other, but we will try to handle this process as quickly as possible so that it doesn't hold things back. If you want pictures of the results, we'll post on our Discord channel and social media pages. Otherwise, we'll share during our next update.
Before that we received a diagram of what the inlay is going to look like. As you can see, it has spots reserved for the tuck boxes, including the three expansion characters.
We'll be looking to make sure all components can fit in each tuck box properly for each character.
Thanks! ~The Amoebunnies Team
August Update: All Files Submitted! 🎉

All Files In!
We are extremely excited to announce that all files have been submitted to the manufacturer. They have responded quickly with e-proofs which we have reviewed. We submitted a few minor corrections and everything looks good to go. We know that the instructions took a bit longer than anticipated and very much appreciate your patience as we make sure we produce a high-quality product. Thanks to everyone who participated in proofreading!
During the e-proofing process, we were informed by the manufacturer that the squishy jellies are going to be the item with the longest production time, which they estimated at 90 days. This puts us at production completion likely in January. While I know this is disappointing, the timeline should be crystalizing. Since those jellies aren't part of the regular game, we should be able to proceed with prototyping without them. We'll continue to update with progress as its made.
Now that the e-proofing is complete, the next step will be producing the prototype of the final product. We'll also be taking a short breath to decompress this month since we've been at this for so long. Work on the other bits won't stop, but we'll be pacing ourselves a little to recharge. Once we are able to, we'll share photos and videos of the prototype both here and on our social media platforms.
Tabletop Simulator:
We've begun updating all of the artwork in the TTS version. The artwork has required us to adjust a bit of the scripting and several snap points, but it's coming along fairly well. We've tested installation instructions for Steam on Windows, macOS, and Linux. We have dedicated webspace that will host the files. If you frequent TTS like us, you hate it when games suddenly lose textures or models, so we're going to control them personally to avoid anything breaking.
Amigurumi:
Due to some personal issues, there was a hold-up on the patterns this month. To keep progress on this front going, we worked on fulfillment of the 50 handmade orders from the campaign. There was a fairly even split among character requests, except you all seemed to REALLY like Violet. We've churned out quite a few lately and now have 14 of 21 made. This is in addition to 5 of each of the rest. This puts us at 39 of 50.
As much as we want to celebrate this milestone, we know the job isn't done until the games arrive at your door. We want to make sure the result is worth the wait. Thank you as always, your support has really helped us. Please feel free to contact us through KS, Discord, or e-mail if you have any questions or comments. We're looking forward to sharing more news as it comes!
